Marimekko returns with proposals interpreted by new production techniques for the Wallcoverings Marimekko 07 by Jannelli&Volpi collection. Maija Louekari's abstract Hyräily (humming) pattern was hand-painted with a thick brush: a striped pattern painted with a relaxed hand that follows the rhythm of humming. According to the designer, hand painting accentuates the carefree beauty of everyday life-we don't always have to have only straight lines and right angles.
